W E L C O M E
The human experience is messy. Life on this planet is often painful, fearful and sad. When our lives fall apart, it can seem like we're losing who we are and all we have to live for. But beyond that pain is a gift whose value far exceeds any outcome you could hope for in the world. Often we organize our whole lives to avoid this pain, through getting a career, the perfect relationship, being the perfect mother, etc. But if we choose to face it and feel it rather than fix it, just on the other side that pain, loss, resentment, depression is the peace that surpasses all understanding. Really feeling the pain allows us the opportunity to forgive, to reinterpret ourselves and the world into a more loving perspective - to see as God sees. Having someone there to feel the pain with us and who gently sees the truth in you when you can't yet see it is a really healing experience. This is what I aspire to give in counselling.
My Philosophy
The primary philosophy I follow is of non-duality, particularly in the tradition of A Course in Miracles. This course essentially teaches us that there is no separation. We are one with God and with all our brothers, from lovers to our worst enemies. This seemingly physical world of separate bodies, sin, guilt and fear is merely a dream - and often a nightmare - of our own making. When we look inside, we see through the dream to the truth and experience God in the real world of spirit and oneness. But in order to get there we must first heal our wounds and grievances of unforgiveness.

And as you let yourself be healed, you see all those around you, or who cross your mind, or whom you touch or those who seem to have no contact with you, healed along with you. ²Perhaps you will not recognize them all, nor realize how great your offering to all the world, when you let healing come to you. ³But you are never healed alone. ⁴And legions upon legions will receive the gift that you receive when you are healed
